Targeting every part of your Gut!
Natural Gastrointestinal Support and Healing
Our gastrointestinal tract is not designed for the modern life style. Stress and poor food habits harm our gut more than we realise. A healthy gut is vital in providing our body with nutrients and at the same time keeping undesirable and dangerous substances from entering the body. The gut needs to be in balance to function properly and to keep our body and mind happy.
- A unique synergistic formula of pre- and probiotics
- Unlike other products, Gastronel+ targets every part of the gastrointestinal tract and brings back a healthy balance and function.
- Lactobacillus sporogenes is a probiotic which survive the acid environment in the stomach unlike other forms of Lactobacillus”
- Hi–maize is a prebiotic that positively affects the colon and the whole body
- Colostrum contains bioactive components that is able to heal the damage caused by anti-inflammatory drugs
- gamma-Oryzanol is clinically proven to have a therapeutic effect on various gastrointestinal complaints
- The final remedy for a variety of symptoms originating from the gastrointestinal channel
The gastrointestinal (GI) tract can roughly be divided into the stomach, small intestine and large intestine (colon). When this system loses its balance, or equilibrium, symptoms such as dyspepsia, heartburn, diarrhoea, constipation, bloating and swelling, belching, nausea or even headache and muscle pain emerge. Sometimes these GI symptoms are just a matter of discomfort. However, they are all warning signs that something is wrong and needs to be dealt with. The cause of GI symptoms can originate from any part of the gastrointestinal tract, and unfortunately, the dysfunction has a tendency to spread to other parts of the gut. This phenomenon explains the wide range of symptoms that occur in people with gut problems.
To treat this condition successfully every part of the gut must regain its health. With this fact in mind NutriVision’s research team developed the perfect synergistic blend of natural substances that bring back the equilibrium of the intestinal tract in order to improve well-being and general health. The product is not only unique in terms of composition and over-all function, but more importantly in effectiveness.
Maintaining a proper balance of bacteria in our GI tract is a key factor to good gut and overall health. Beside digestion and absorption, interaction with the body’s immune system is perhaps one of the most important roles that the intestine bacteria play. The composition of the intestinal microflora is constantly changing and is influenced by factors such as diet, stress, age and treatment with antibiotics.
Healthy bacteria, such as Lactobacillus acidophilus found in e.g. yoghurt, are called probiotics and are of great importance. Unfortunately it is not reasonable to expect that Lactobacillus acidophilus found in dietary supplement reach the bowels intact, since they get destroyed in the acidic environment in the stomach. However, NutriVision is using a superior form of Lactobacillus called L. sporogenes. This species forms spores which on activation in the stomach can germinate and proliferate in the intestine, producing the favoured L (+) form of lactic acid and effectively prevent the growth of pathogens. They also increase the amount of healthy bifidobacteria. Clinical studies confirm the effectiveness of L. sporogenes in humans (1-4).
Prebiotics stimulate the growth of probiotics. They can favourably modulate the microbial ecology in the gut, protect against intestinal pathogens and improve gastrointestinal immunity. Some dietary supplements contain inulin as a prebiotic agent to boost the effectiveness of the products. Gastronel+ also contains inulin, but its main prebiotic ingredient is Hi-maize. This resistant starch has several advantages over inulin, such as a slower fermentation rate. This means that Hi-maize reaches the distal parts of the colon, and it yields no flatus and diarrhoea. Instead, Hi-Maize regulates the colon and can be used as a treatment for both constipation and diarrhoea. Furthermore, Hi-maize, but not inulin, is able to create a perfect matrix where L. sporogenes and Bifidobacteria can attach and grow . Dozens of human studies support the use of Hi-Maize, and a recent study also shows that Hi-maize affect the whole body positively (5).
There are very intriguing synergistic effects between L. Sporogenes, Hi-Maize and inulin. Hi-Maize together with L. Sporogenes produce healthy short-chain fatty acids more effectively than inulin and L Sporogenes combined (6). Furthermore, it has been shown that inulin have synergistic effects together with resistant starch (7). They do not only boost probiotic growth, but also improve gastrointestinal function when administered together (7). In other words, these three components, when administered together, create a powerful health-promoting effect.
Gamma-oryzanol is a natural substance found in whole grain rice. It improves digestive control and eases heartburn and other digestive-system discomforts. In 23 Japanese clinical studies Gamma-oryzanol proved to have therapeutic efficacy relating to various gastrointestinal complaints. In 1977, 375 hospitals in Japan cooperated in a large clinical trial on patients with chronic gastritis, peptic and duodenal ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome, and non-specific complaints such as nausea, heartburn, abdominal pain, belching and diarrhoea. Effectiveness, at varying levels of success, was evident in 90.8% of the cases; remarkable effect in 25.8% cases, effective in 36.4%, slightly effective in 28.6% (8). Gamma-oryzanol seems to be especially effective in people with post-meal symptoms such as nausea and feeling cold, which are conditions that often are a manifestation of “autonomic dysfunction”.
The healing nutrient colostrum is also included in Gastronel+. Colostrum is the pre-milk fluid produced from the mother’s mammary glands during the first 72 hours after birth. Colostrum provides life-supporting immune and growth factors that ensure the health and vitality of the newborn. The antibodies in colostrum (immunoglobulins) bind to pathogens such as Candida albicans, E-coli, Helicobacter pylori, Yersinia enterocolitica, Salmonella typhimurium et enteritidis and Campylobacter jejuni. This inhibits the binding of these pathogens to the bowel lining, making them unable to proliferate. In contrast to old beliefs, not only newborns but also adults benefit from the use of supplemental colostrum (9,10). For instance, colostrum is able to heal the damage created by anti-inflammatory drugs in adult humans (8).
In essence, NutriVision’s new product Gatronel+ for gastrointestinal health represents a genuine breakthrough targeting every part of the gut. No other product contains such a synergistic blend of effective compounds. Thereby, Gatronel+ is a remedy for a variety of symptoms originating from the gastrointestinal channel, and contributes not only to the health of the gym but to the health of the whole body.
